Alice Fassina<\/strong> is a costume designer whose artistic approach and working processes are based on sustainability and circular economy. Within the residency in the ‚Akademie f\u00fcr Suffizienz‘ she explores the common human need of protecting the body through clothing and deepens the theme of sharing clothes on a community level. She researches the past life of a garment, plays with it in the present and transforms it, looking for new ways for the future.

Ihr Projekt \u201aZu Verschenken\u2018 untersucht die Gr\u00fcnde hinter dem Berliner Ph\u00e4nomen, gebrauchte pers\u00f6nliche Gegenst\u00e4nde einfach in einem Karton vor einem Geb\u00e4ude oder sperrigen M\u00f6beln und elektrischen Haushaltsger\u00e4ten auf der Stra\u00dfe zu verschenken. Sie hinterfragt die Motive hinter diesem Akt des Gebens, wie der Trend begann und was macht es weiter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Between the topics of feminism, social trends and nature, TITS The Artist<\/strong> creates her works of performance art and installation using the mediums of body and audience participation, painting, photography, found objects
and patchwork. Her project, \u201cZu Verschenken\u201d (to give away), investigates the reasons behind Berlin\u2019s phenomena of donating second-hand personal items by simply placing them in a carton box outside a building or bulky furniture and electrical household appliances on the street. She questions the motives behind this act of giving, how the trend started and what makes it continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
